Jacques Lacan

I was born in France in 1901. I was a psychiatrist interested in Psychosis. I studied Freud like no-one before. I hanged out with the surrealists. I was trying to explain the complexity of desire. I believe I did a pretty damn good job, except that Americans don't get me. (sorry- I have to say that!) They are too ‘phallic thinkers’ to grasp this little evasive piece of the Unknown that I attempt. Adding to the end of phallic paradigm... I am here now. Did you guys know I do believe in God and Love? ( I just had written 2 pages and the cyber-god erased it all… see what I mean by NOT ALL can be said?) I will be brief as I have some 'mystic business' to run with some fellows today (4th of July for that matter). Yeah... everybody asking the question of WHAT DO WOMEN WANT? Well, here’s what I came up in the abbreviated version on Women. Women want and don’t want… nothing. So… understanding the limited centrality of the phallus is not what women are about. Really… I mean… who cares about that unmisterious piece of the human existence. So women actually want and don’t want because their quest is not phallically limited. It goes beyond… borderlining the saints and the psychotic. (And I mean this in my highest regards… as Saints and Psychos are actually LIFE to me). Am I saying Men are Dead? YES! So..Women want Nothing… and that is… they FOREVER want… and find… ad infinitum. Ergo…they are really ALIVE but also dead (as they are subjected by phallic and non-phallic grips to the universe). Oh well… What I wrote before sounded a lot more academic… but I guess this is the part of the truth that will be out-ed today.
