BIOGRAPHY
SEMINAL GROOVES was formed in 2004 after a chance meeting of SILKY (Dusted) & PRIMO (Drop The Funk - deVICE Records). The duo, sharing a love for House music, immediatly started churning out material in the studio.
2004 saw the first release Seminal Grooves - "Keep Me Up" was released with Miami based Soulfuric Records offshoot label deVICE. This received rave reviews from dance music's leading magazines and support from globally recognised DJ's such as Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez, Brian Tappert, Matt Caseli (Pacha) etc. Remixes soon followed from Soultonic Records, Soulfuric & Matt Caseli's ibiza based imprint Silocasa Records.
This year has seen SEMINAL GROOVES lifted into new heights with the remixes of PRIMO - CUBAN BLUES (No. 3 UK HYPE CHART) on Soulfuric Records and the latest release TAKE ME TO HEAVEN (Soultonic Records) currently riding high in the DJ charts and supported by the worlds major players. Silky now enjoys a healthy balance between producing new music and remixing, which recent projects include "Another Day" on Cafe Del Mar and SHIK STYLKO'S latest production on Real Basic Recordings (Germany).
Currently, alongside a busy production schedule. Silky's DJ diary is rapidly filling up with dates across the UK & abroad.
