The Label
Launching in the winter of 2004, Kitschy Records have quickly become well-respected purveyors of the finest electronic dance music the UK has to offer, with their first nine cuts of solid house and trance supported by underground and internationally renowned DJs.
Bursting onto the scene with Tronic Inc’s ‘Nightlights’ (with remixes from Jupiter Ace and Granite & Phunk) and further creating a solid reputation with their enormous follow up, ‘Beloved’, which went on to receive heavy duty club rotation courtesy of everyone from John Digweed to Judge Jules - a successful label was born.
Kitschy Records is based in the West Midlands and run solo by dedicated music lover, Nathan Cleary - a former promoter and avid DJ who wanted to get the tracks he was hearing and playing out to a wider audience. Nathan nurtures each release himself, from painstakingly listening to hours of demos and networking with up and coming producers to pressing the final vinyl and sending out the mp3s,

All Kitschy Records tracks have a uniqueness about them – be that a twist in the tale, a surprising genre-cruncher or simply the biggest and best peak time monsters – as witnessed by their latest release, ‘Whisper’ by Tom Day – broken by Judge Jules on his Tried & Tested slot on Radio 1 and subsequently licensed to Ministry of Sound Recordings for inclusion on the ‘Cream Ibiza 2007’ and ‘Judgement Sundays Ibiza’ compilations.
Another name to watch in the Kitschy Records stable is Gold Ryan, the German producer who is one half of Global Jax and has enjoyed success with his ‘Digital EP’ on Kitschy Records. The tracks are simply fat slices of filthy electro and have been caned by everyone from Carl Cox and Pete Tong to Grant Nelson. Gold Ryan also lends his remix skills to the label’s hot forthcoming release, ‘Shade’ by new Swedish talent, Philip Jensen.
