Rob Mello

London based DJ and Producer; Rob Mello has recorded, produced, and remixed a diverse catalogue of releases since 1992. Previously Rob has been responsible for… the pioneering disco house duo “Disco Elements”, signed to Azuli Records, co-founder of the saucy house label Luxury Service and also produced the first Black Science Orchestra single with Ashley Beadle, “Where were you”, released on the legendary London house label, Boys Own. Since then Rob has been appearing regularly on Classic Records and after 10 years of releases for this label was given the opportunity to produce the very last release for them-Cat nos 000.Rob has also made the move into film score work. In 1999 Rob, with Matthew Herbert, wrote all the incidental music on the UK club culture movie, ‘Human Traffic’ for which they were up for nomination for a BAFTA.Rob has been DJing since 1985 and has pioneered his own style that is much in demand all over the world. With various regular appearances and residences, far too many to mention!More recently (Summer 2006) Rob has started his own Record label called “Disco 45”. He feels like the time now is right to start something fresh. This label features mainly his own productions and collaborations with other artists that Rob holds the highest respect for. Expect releases from Robert Owens, Lil Mark, Matthew Herbert, Radio Slave, The Freaks, Sensory Productions, Matthew Styles and many more… All this and a busy DJ schedule!
