The Official Authentic Real Classic Original TODD!

I would have gotten away with it, too... if it weren't for those meddling KIDS!

About Me

You have reached the profile page of Todd P. Emerson. Yes, THE Todd P. Emerson. Not a clone. Not an impersonator. Not a hoax, a dream, or an imaginary story. If I'm the one you're looking for, here I am. You've found me. The official, authentic, real, classic, original TODD P. EMERSON. I am the genuine article. Accept no substitutes.
If you're still unsure if I'm the Todd P. Emerson you're looking for, peep this: I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. Attended Edward Kemble and Thomas Jefferson Elementary Schools (but not at the same time). Kit Carson Middle School. Graduated from Sacramento High School in 1985. Attending the Art Institute of Seattle from '85 to '87 while living in the dorms at Seattle University.
After art school, I moved back to Sacramento, where I worked for a year at a publishing company in nearby Rancho Cordova. I spent most of my time there building ads for local telephone directories. I also created ads and drew editorial cartoons for the newspapers of the two local USAF bases.
I moved back up to the Seattle area in the fall of 1988. Longest-lasting job there was at Sun Sportswear in Kent, WA, creating artwork to be screenprinted onto various garments.
In July of 1999, I found my wife-to-be, Candi, on an alumni website. (We had attended the same schools from 3rd through 12th grades, but were never anything more than "just friends.") One thing led to another, and we got married in Sacramento in 2001. She moved up to Washington State in the summer of 2000, then we both moved to Renton (WA) in early 2001. Our first son, Jack, was born in late 2002, and his brother, Neil, followed in mid-2005. We all moved back to California in late 2007, settling in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In summation, I was a former professional cartoonist, now I'm a stay-at-home dad. Grey hairs increasing at an exponential rate. Wrinkles appearing at an alarming rate. Spare tire growing larger with each passing day. Old Man Cynicism beating down Young Man Optimism. I've now outlived Hendrix, Belushi, Christ, Dean, Monroe, Cobain... Hope to outlive Burns, Thurmond, and Hope. That's just about the shortest possible life story I can manage right now. Further details are available upon request, and knowing is half the battle.
PLEASE NOTE: My Top Friends will change every so often. The current list showcases some of the celebs on MySpace who have actually written BACK to me more than once. Which makes them eve more cool than I had previously thought. (If you're a celeb who remembers carrying on a conversation with me here, and you're not in my Top Friends, then remind me and I'll add you. Apologies in advance!)
