During my time here in Nashville, I have had the opportunity to co-write with Byron Hill, who co-wrote George Strait's first career hit, Fool Hearted Memory. Byron also co-wrote Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous, for Tracy Byrd, the number one, Nothin’ On But The Radio, for Gary Allan. as well as countless other hits. The song I co-wrote with Byron, a song entitled “Why Wait”, was pitched to Mr. George Strait, by Byron. One of the songs I co-wrote here on MySpace, a song entitled “He Was”, I co-wrote with Adam Dorsey, who in 2005 co-wrote Craig Morgan’s first career number one, as well as 2005 Country Song of the Year, That’s What I Love About Sunday. This particular song that I co-wrote with Adam, “He Was” was placed on hold by both Billy Currington and Darryl Worley, and has received a huge response, not just by personal friends, but also by those in the industry such as Chad Green over at ASCAP, Byron Hill, and Greg Gallo, Director of Creativity, for Craig Wiseman. I've had the honor of co-writing with Andrew Fromm, who has had his songs on over 40 million albums world wide, with such notable acts he has written for such as Backstreet boys, Marc Anthony, N’Sync, KC & Jo Jo, Jesse Mc Cartney, Billy Gilman, Christian Bautista, Westlife, and many others. Other great and noted co-writer's are Josh Matheny, who's band KingBilly is currently getting signed to a record deal. Becky Robertson, who's band of sisters, Carter's Chord, is signed to Toby Keith's label, Show Dog. Corinne Chapman who's publishing deal just netted her a first cut, the second single on Jodee Messina's upcoming new album. Jamie Floyd, who had her first record deal with Sony when she was 12. Hit Song Lyricist, Doug McKelveyI am also getting ready to write with some other great and talented singer/songwriters.
