Marie - SONGWRITER

I'm a retired California Highway Patrol Officer [Riverside/Baldwin Park] working full-time as a songwriter. I've done alot of things in life that have been fun and challenging. I put myself through college as a snow ski instructor, lifeguard & hollywood stuntwoman. After college I drove an 18-wheeler big rig cross-country for 6 years. I finally got tired of 'getting' the tickets and decided to become a cop so I could 'give' the tickets...that's when I joined the CHP.
After becoming involved in a on-duty accident I was disability retired and went into corporate america as a director of administration for a technology company. I am now retired [again!] from that and enjoy my leisure life on the road in a 43' Motorcoach being a sightseer of life. This is where I find the time to write my songs and collaborate with others.
I write songs about most anything but alot of them are about real things that happen to real (or fictional) people. I try to maintain a sense of love, life and humor in my work.
I write lyrics in the genre's of country, jazz, R&B, A/C, & pop/rock. I listen to all genres of music from pop to classical and everything in between. My favorites are A/C, pop/rock, R&B and country. I am a member of ASCAP, SGA & NSAI.
I have lived in Beaumont, CA; Corvallis, OR; San Bernardino, CA; West Covina, CA; Chino, CA; Riverside, CA; Colton, CA; Corvallis/Hamilton, MT, Kalispell, MT; Fort Collins, CO; and Rapid City, SD.
I am not a recording artist. I am a lyricist/non-performing songwriter. If you are an artist or songwriter looking for songs to record or want to co-write, please get ahold of me. I am always looking for collaborators local or long distance. The beauty of my life is that I have the freedom to travel to you for collaboration as I am living on the road in a Motorcoach travelling across the US.
I am also a Chirachaua Apache where my tribe is located out of Kingman, Arizona. I have an Associates Degree in Social Science with a minor in Law Enforcement.===============
