BIO
Armed with a fresh sound and an unmatched determination to succeed, Jeremiah Richey is ready to be the next big thing. With the April 2007, release of his self-produced, fully independent album, he has shown that he has the work ethic necessary to be a contender in the volatile environment that is the music industry. "Take Your Chances" is an explosive album that will make you pump your fist one minute and cry the next, and with songs like "Chances", "Choice," and "So Long" he has set himself up to be a major player in radio and album sales. With the demand for more and more cookie-cutter radio hits, "Take Your Chances" brings a new sound that mixes creativity and individualism with commercial readiness.Born and raised near Dallas, Texas, Jeremiah has always known he was meant to play music. In the sixth grade he picked up a trumpet and was forever changed. Drums and guitar followed after high school, where he played with numerous acts to feed his musical passion. His eclectic musical talents make him a self-described "utility man," feeling equally comfortable singing rock, soul, blues, folk or pop. He discovered his passion for singing in 2001 when he joined Dallas-based rock band, Solace. In the summer of 2006 he was selected from a field of over 10,000 contestants to participate in ABC's music reality show "The One: Making a Music Star." Soon after the short-lived music television series, Jeremiah decided it was time to begin a new musical journey, one in which he was free to mix his love for rock with flowing melodies. The future has never looked brighter for Jeremiah. With a national tour and a number of label showcases on the horizon for he and his band, Jeremiah is ready to live a life dedicated to the entertainment of music lovers world-wide.
