NESTOR!

In 1997, Antoine Bonan (guitar), Morgan Vigilante (drums), Alexis Den Doncker (bass), and Tommy Onraedt (keyboards) joined together to form a 'rock band'. All at the age of 12, in a very instinctive way, they began creating tunes while they didn't really know how to play it. In 2005, after 8 years of gigging in Brussels, they began to make some serious progressions. They took the microphones to sing and that, after trying out with several female singers. After winning the Belgian Blast:Beat contest under the bandname 'Morbacks', they toured in Dublin. In August 2005, they admitted Thomas de Hemptinne (guitar/keys).
All together, they became NESTOR!
In April 2006, they recorded a 5-tracks Demo CD with sound engineer Cédric Goisse (Thunderecord) and start diffusing all around Belgium. In November 2006, Nestor! won the Pure Demo broadcast contest with the song 'Falling' and, in 2007, participated in several contests (Het Kampioenschap van Brussel, Maanrockrally, Starting Rock, Tremplin Rock The City, Péniche On Stage, Humo Rock…). During the Tremplin Rock The City, in the dark caves of Botanique, Nestor! met Black Dog whom they started collaborating with. From that moment, Nestor!’s appearances have considerably increased (La Flèche d’Or [Paris], Maanrock, L’Escalier, Atelier 210, Ancienne Belgique, Boutik Rock…). In January 2008, the band records some tracks, a kind of acetate of a first album with the help of the S.A.M. (Service d’Actions Musicales [Liege]). With the coaching of Julien Galoy (Montevideo), the album is now in work, while Nestor! is already announced in several festivals (Nuits du Botanique, Fiesta du Rock, Rock the City, etc.)…
The music of Nestor! is often told 'complex' intending to be epical and intense like a knight riding a horse at a gallop. Looking for surprising and lyrical rhythms, the band is in full expansion on already well known concrete bases, always to be refined...

Now, Nestor! is on studio working on his first album! A so-called 'Big Bang' and a well-deserved break for plugging some mics at home with many posters and pillow fights (never forget posters are good for your dreams !)... You know, it's sometimes difficult to translate in words what happens in Linkebeek with its valleys, rivers, beaches and cows... It could be a non-sense for us not to tell about this little paradise where Nestor! was born yet fully dressed with his moustache... Anyway, N! is waiting for the next shows and new compos, like a dog dribbling for a hotter dog (!?)... (à suivre...!)
