The Treacles

The Treacles were originally called The Treacle Tarts and grew out of an acoustic based duo of Lisa M and Laura, Jessica started to appear during January 2006 and so, two became three. However, Jessica was determined to be as big a pain in the arse as possible until a drummer was found, and lo, sometime in the spring of 2006, Debs Spoopoo was cleverly coaxed out of Manchester after 'someone' (and they know who they are) left a trail of cookies leading down the M6 then M1 and then up the stairs to the bands rehearsal space in Camden. She has stayed there ever since and says she likes it there. Later, DeeFreak joined, who had never played guitar in front of anyone except friends prior to her first rehearsal. Thier first performance being at Sparkle in the Manchester village, which was warmly received. Lisa left during summer 2006, which could have been a disaster for the band, but determined to carry on they advertised and quickly found Sharon Ferris. A bonny wee lady with a very very big voice. But then Debs decided to return up north when the maryland sponsorship ran out leaving them drummerless. They are currently hard at work at their Camden HQ on new songs, finding a new drummer, a new sound, new ambitions and new shoes.
