I've been a professional songwriter for over 20 years. I'm from the music mecca of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. I've been a staff writer at FAME-Muscle Shoals, Starstruck, March Music, Jody Williams Music, SONY ATV Tree Publishing, and currently I am proud to be signed with Hal Oven's Noble Vision Music Publishing Company on Music Row. I've had over sixty cuts over the past twenty-two years, quite a few singles that you never heard, but thankfully a few you may have, like "Moon Over Georgia", "Like There Ain't No Yesterday" and "That's What I Love About Sunday". Also "Crank My Tractor" was a big hit in Canada for Michelle Wright, I wrote that one with Shoals compadre Steven Dale Jones. "Thanks For The G Chord" was co-written with Byron Hill and recorded by John Michael Montgomery. "She'll Go On You" appears on Josh Turner's Long Black Train project. Some of my most recent cuts are "Gravity" that I co-wrote with Josh Turner-it's on his "Your Man" CD,"Cryin Days" co-written with Kim McClean on Megan Mullins,"Pocketful of Fifties" recorded by Kim Glover and co-written with longtime Muscle Shoals writer friends Darrell Glover and Kim Glover, "Travelin' Soul", which I co-wrote with Liz Rose and Lisa Brokop recorded by Terri Clark, and "Free Bird In A Firebird" co-written with Brandy Clark on Heartland, ..I am honored to have a song I co-wrote with Kate Campbell..which appears on her current CD she did with my cousin Spooner Oldham. The song is called "Terrible Mercy". Also look for Josh Turner's Live From The Ryman CD at all Cracker Barrell stores, included in the package is "Gravity" and "She'll Go On You"."The Way He Was Raised" co-written with Josh Turner and Bobby Tomberlin appears on Josh's "Everything Is Fine" project.Brittany Clarke recently released "If That Chair Could Talk" co-written with Liz Rose. "Things A Mama Don't Know" by Mica Roberts and Toby Keith-- I co-wrote song with Liz Rose and Brandy Clark, Mica is on Toby Keith's Show Dog record label. I'm very excited about seven recent cuts, three on the Shoals Band, three on Sandstone, "Everbody Loves You" was just recorded by my good buddy Jesse Lee!!! I co-wrote that with Liz Rose and Morgane Hayes.. I'll have more info as these tunes become available. My wife Sandy and I are proud to have Jeff Tweel representing our entire catalog!!! Kate Campbell just cut "Everybody Knows Elvis" that I co-wrote with her with Walt Aldridge producing for her upcoming album!! More stuff on my website marknarmore.com
