Jimmy moved to Nashville in 1994 and landed a publishing deal about a year later. His first cut was recorded by idol, Randy Travis. The song, "Day One" was co-written with the late Max D. Barnes. He went on to write for Sony Tree for about six years and had songs recorded by Joe Diffie, Ricky Van Shelton, Clay Walker, Craig Morgan, John Michael Montgomery, and Jeff Bates just to name a few. He also received an ASCAP award in 2001 for his hit song "In Another World" which he wrote with Tom Shipiro and Wally Wilson. Jimmy now writes for Blacktop Publishing. Most recently Jimmy has had cuts on Rascal Flatts last two records as well as The Lost Trailers, Darryl Worley, James otto, Steve Holy, Emerson Drive and Easton Corbin. Jimmy is a great singer in his own right. He was previously a recording artist on Atlantic Records and is presently touring as the lead singer of Shenandoah.
