My name is Jaida & I just turned 19 years old. To say my life has been an interesting tale would be a definite understatement. I may not have lived a lot of years but I have indeed lived a lot of life.
I've been writing songs since I was about 12 & these days pen my tunes with the most amazing writers within the industry. I grew up living life on the road - so I guess you could say I have gypsy boots. People have always said that I'm an old soul. I originally hail from Canada (Thunder Bay, Ontario) & have lived in seven different states throughout the country (Iowa, Florida, Georgia... twice, California, Wisconsin, Texas & now Tennessee). In my earlier years, I figure skated competitively but eventually hung up my skates to solely focus on showing horses professionally. I won my first of many World Championship titles at the age of five. Somewhere along the way I also had fun working on set, appearing in various large scale film productions (ranging from music videos, to major motion pictures & a television series for ABC).
I'm wild at heart but really try to keep things pretty simple. I like playing around with my guitar & have most recently taken up mandolin. I constantly have a million different thoughts running through my head. I'm obsessed with lyrics & think it's pretty apparent that through it all I've always had quite the affinity for real country music. I honestly have the best job in the world & feel so blessed to be able to do what I love. Oh, I can't fail to mention that I have a border collie who is an outlaw to the highest degree... his name is Ray Wylie Hubbard. Now wasn't that so much more fun than reading all of that official stuff?
