these are the men that helped this music come alive in the studio. I owe a great deal of gratuity to them. In fact i think that Nashvilles musicians from the musicians union are very very underestimated, this is why i want to share the fact with you that these guys were all co-producers of this album with me. These are the guys that record on a daily basis and play on alot of records that you the music buyer purchases. I figured, "why do i need a producer right now, if i put together a bunch of A-list musicians that i think would not only work well together but all fit my style in their own way then let them do their thing, it would have to work". Well i did just that. When they came in i told them the feel i was looking for on this and gave them a basic ground to work from and i just happend. I love these guys and appreciate them to no end and will never be able to thank them like they deserve. So to all union musicians, My hat is off to you all. JT Vaughn
Influences: Growing up i had alot of influences, but the greatest was when i was only a kid. At the age of 10 my father Jim Vaughn was in a band with Joe Page, Don Page, Bob Marner. Sometimes we had other guys like Scott Page, Matt Page, wow lots of those guys haha big musical family, also Herald Key. I mention all these guys because music to them seemed so easy. All of these men were very talented guys and there i was just a young boy with my guitar strumming along, sometimes i'd pick the "boogie woogie", and the "steele guitar rag", haha but hiding in the back haha. but to watch these guys just attack an instrument or a microphone with power and control to be honest scared the crap out of me. I always wished i could have the guts. Then one day i seen for myself what gave them the strength. We were playing at a nursing home and lets face it, half the people there don't have a clue where they are but i noticed that almost everyone in that room was smiling and tapping their feet. I almost went into tears when i seen this. I learned that other than god himself, music is the most powerful thing on earth. Oh and, i'm no longer scared now. I'm addicted
Other influences growing up were Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmi Hendrix, and various country music artists. I also played guitar for a guy here in Nashville for awhile. Clay Canfield, this guy has taught me alot about mind set on stage and how to control your band and how to drink scotch and have a good time. haha.
So there they are, my influences and why they are. Although most of them are passed on now, they still will ring in my head everytime i hit a stage and they will all be with me. Thank you to all of you.
Sounds Like: All and all i sound like myself but i was definetly influenced by a few people.
i grew up listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmi Hendrix and various country music acts and all of them somehow i believe comes out in my music.
I think that it's only natural for certain things to stick in your head growing up. like guitar licks and lyric style. so a mixture of all those things is what makes you have "your sound".
