About Me

Doug Stokes, a Muscle Shoals, AL native has been working in Nashville as a session singer, drummer, and songwriter for the best part of a decade. Publishers include Warner-Chappell, Fame, and Skyline Music. As a singer and player he has worked with some of Music City's finest including Lenny LeBlanc, Collin Raye, Teddy Gentry, Rebeca Lynn Howard, Paul Worley, and Richie McDonald to name a few. Recording credits can be found on store shelves nationwide and abroad. Touring has taken him to parts of Europe, North America, South Africa, and Asia. "I don't really care to be the "artist", I just want my songs to be heard by eleventy-million people everyday."
In addition to all things music, Doug, along with co-owner Archie Hubbard operate Mindworks Media, LLC. (www.MyNextVideo.com), a full service media production company. They specialize in wedding and event videography and product/service promotional media.
Other creative endeavors include freelance writing, graphic design, web design, teaching drums, and vocal coaching when the opportunity arises.
"The three most important things to me are God, family, and people. I think this world is a pretty dark place; lots of things pull you down. I want to be a light that lifts people up...There are things about life that I can't explain, but I know that truth and righteousness can never lead you astray. I believe everyone has a calling in life and that they will never be truly happy until they find it." This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
