If something is WORTH doing, it's worth doing poorly. Fast pay makes fast friends.

About Me

All about baseball and film, not macho things, not prissy, not pretentiousness, gossip, nor obliviousness, but I am into witty
humor, humility, and the home team.

Typical American mutt: ¼ Swedish, ¼ Italian, ¼ Irish & ¼ English.
3 brothers, 3 sisters, lots of close family here in KC, Springfield, MO and Denver. Lawyer in MO, KS & CO. Also lived in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, St. Louis, New Orleans and Bordeaux. Worked several years in film production. I'm a collector, chef, athelete, and uncle of 4 boys. Never married, no kids.

Television:

ESPN, Family Guy, IFC,
Sundance Channel,
the "big game,"
all documentaries,
Curb Your Enthusiasm,
the current, really weird cartoons, Twin Peaks and Ren & Stimpy years ago.

Books:

Mostly I read the newspaper, the internet and law books (court opinions). As far as literature, I've done my share of reading, but I can tell you James Joyce drives me nuts and William Faulkner isn't far behind him. Yuck!
I haven't really enjoyed reading books since I was a teenager and was into Kurt Vonnegut and Richard Bach. As Woody Allen said in Zelig:
"I'd much rather watch a baseball game than read a great novel. It doesn't have to mean anything. It's just beautiful."
Oh, and ASIBs.
Favorite ThingsTabasco sauce, autumn, Tex Avery cartoons,
the Kansas City Star buildings, bird songs,
the NCAA basketball tournament, freckles, cool spots on the bed,
the smell of dry Earl Grey tea, back scratches, airline safety instruction booklets, MLB playoffs, Häagen Dazs Chocolate Chocolate Chip, pork fat, toggle kites on the beach, someone else's flannel sheets, satellite radio, sesame, Allen Fieldhouse, jersey cards, fireworks, mid-60's design, cold tap water in the winter, not getting any mail, airconditioning.

Heroes:

Peter Forsberg, John Lydon, Jean-Luc Godard. That's about it. The rest of us are just human.
