About Me

My name is Gracie C. McKeever and I'm a multi-published, cross-genre author. I also have published short stories in the same sub-genres including some horror and mainstream titles.

I'd like to meet:

First off, I am not here to hook up. That being said, I'd like to meet and hear from readers (especially those who have purchased and liked my books...thanks so much for all your continued support!) and other writers, especially those of SFF&P, erotica and romance, and just interesting people that have similar interests as myself.

Television:

I love TV as much as I love movies, which is to say I'm pretty much an addict but I try to keep my "must see" watching to a minimum, especially when I'm in writing mode, which is most of the time. When I do watch, these are my favorites:

Nip/Tuck, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Last Comic Standing, Dancing With The Stars, Family Guy, ER, Grey's Anatomy, Kyle XY, New Amsteram, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, Heroes, Dexter, Jeopardy, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Real Time with Bill Maher, SNL, MadTV...

And honorable mentions to the must-see shows that are no longer with us, but which I was hooked on and would surely be watching faithfully if they were still on (repeats notwithstanding): Seinfeld, Queer As Folk, Sex And The City, Six Feet Under, Oz, 4400, and Red Shoe Diaries (chromium blue just does not cut it for me).

Books:

My own, of course :)

Rapture Publishing, LLC

As for the rest, too many to name, but I'm going to give it a try anyway :)
From Siren Publishing: Lara Santiago (The Wives Tales, The Tiburon Duet, The Blonde Bomb Tech, The Forgetful Spy); Tonya Ramagos (Caught Off Guard); Morgan Ashbury (Made for Each Other, Lily in Bloom).
Other authors/books: Nancy Kress (Beggars In Spain); Dennis Danvers (Circuit of Heaven); Ken Grimwood (Replay); Octavia E. Butler (Kindred, Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind, Imago, Parable of the Sower, Parable of the Talents, Fledgling...okay, you got me. I love everything Octavia E. Butler has written and barring a couple of titles (Clay's Ark and Survivor) I have read all of her books; Joe Haldeman (Camouflage); Dark Hunters/Dream Hunters Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon; Midnight Warriors Series by Deidre Knight; Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, Tina Wainscott (On the Way to Heaven...); Jill Shalvis (Her Sexiest Mistake, Smart and Sexy...); Joey W. Hill (Natural Law, Holding the Cards, Mistress of Redemption, Rough Canvas, The Vampire Queen's Servant...); AllyBlue (Easy, Forgotten Song); Shelby Morgen (Plain Brown Wrapper); J.L. Langley (The Tin Star, The Broken H); D.J. Manly (Eye of the Beholder, The Pro, My Father's Lover); Laura Baumbach (Roughhousing; Details of the Hunt, Out There in the Night); Michael Barnette (Apocalypse Dance...); Lucy Monroe (Come Up and See Me Sometime, Satisfaction Guaranteed...); Erin McCarthy (Houston We Have a Problem, The Pregnancy Test, You Don't Know Jack...); Poppy Z. Brite (Lost Souls, Exquisite Corpse); Stephen King (Carrie, Pet Semetary, It, The Stand, Tommyknockers, Thinner, Misery...); Tabitha King (One on One); Charles Sailor (The Second Son); Lori Foster (The Winston Brothers, Unexpected, Too Much Temptation, Never Too Much...); Shannon McKenna (Behind Closed Doors, Standing In The Shadows, Out of Control, Return To Me, Hot Night, Edge of Midnight...okay, you got me again. I'll read anything Shannon McKenna writes, so she's an auto-buy for me); Kensington/Brava's Bad Boys Anthologies; Danielle Steel (That's right, I confess to being an early fan. Picked up A Perfect Stranger in a Woolworth store (or better known as a "Five and Dime" before the $.99 Stores hit it big, so you know how long ago that was) and was hooked ever since. For years she was an auto-buy for me until she started killing off major characters (like the hero/heroine/protagonists...hel-LO!). I stuck with her for a few years after until it just got too depressing); Judith McNaught (Paradise...); Jayne Ann Krentz (Trust Me, Absolutely, Positively...); Jackie Collins (Chances, Lucky, Hollywood Wives...Yes, I was a fan way back when, so what of it?); Sidney Sheldon (Master of the Game, Rage of Angels); Nelson DeMille (Cathedral); Andrew M. Greeley (The Cardinal Sins...are we sensing a pattern here? For a long time I would automatically buy and read anything on the NYT Bestseller list, until I realized that all the books on the list weren't to my liking); Wally Lamb (She's Come Undone); E. Lynn Harris (Invisible Life, Just As I Am, And This Too Shall Pass); Eric Jerome Dickey (Milk In My Coffee); Alice Walker (The Color Purple...Spielberg did justice to the novel in his movie. I think it was one of the rare times when a movie actually lived up to and translated well from paper to screen); Terri McMillan (Mama, Disappearing Acts, Waiting To Exhale); Sister Souljah (The Coldest Winter Ever...I LOVED this book! To me, it is the best in its genre--conflict, editing, story-telling, tension, and characters all coming together for an excellent tour de force in urban street lit. Next to several of my own books :) Winter is a perfect book to be made into a movie and I'm patiently waiting...); Dr. Frances Cress Welsing (The Isis Papers: The Keys to the Colors); Richard Carlson, Ph.D (Don't Sweat The Small Stuff...something that I need to re-read on a frequent basis just as a reminder of what not to do ;)
