About Me

A former soldier, I retired from the Army after 22 years service. I'm happily married and have been so for more than 20 years. My wife, Dawne, and I have four kids; three boys and a girl. We also have a Border Collie named Brutus who has the body of a wolf and the heart of a chicken as well as a black cat named Majik with the body of Garfield and the heart of a lion.

My Interests

I'm interested in military history, wargaming, role playing, reading, writing and anything that can stimulate my creative streak.

Music:

I'm an eclectic listener; I enjoy the sounds of Nickleback, Chris Daughtry, 3 Doors Down and other mainstream music, as well as the country sounds of Brad Paisley, Martina MacBride and Tim McGraw. Essentially, if I think it sounds good, I like it!

Movies:

Gotta have action...realistic action... not the never ending chain gun of death action. My current top picks are the Underworld series, Enemy at the Gates, and Knight's Tale, but Serenity is still in a division of its' own.

Books:

I enjoy the Myron Bolitar and Elvis Cole mysteries. I've also enjoyed the Emperor series by Conn Iggulden, and his latest series on the life of Genghis Khan. But right now, these are some of my favourites:

Heroes:

Heroes: People with ethics who are willing to risk all to support their beliefs and moral values; the soldier who puts his life on the line protecting the values of others; the policeman who works every day to try and make your children's future better than it is; the firefighter who steps into a burning building to rescue the young, the injured, and the infirm.

Chocolatey Goodness!

In my second published effort, I tried to add a bit of comedy to the piece, and although it is blatant erotica, I like to think the humourous scenes make it unique.  I definitely think both Matt ...
