In a nutshell: I HATE SLOW MUSIC! I just bought "Walk Hard" on iTunes. I listen to different music depending on my mood. When I'm cleaning, I love classic songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Louis Armstrong, etc. When I'm in my car I listen to rock out and listen to Jack FM, KLOS, KROQ and KissFM. I like to write to classical music, especially Mozart.
COMEDY! COMEDY COMEDY! I love Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Martin Short. They were who I wanted to be when I grew up. (Sans the whiskers.) "Three Amigos," "Ghostbusters" and "The Blues Brothers" are the best and I can watch them over and over without getting bored. I love all the comedies that are out right now. I feel like the "Rated R" comedy is making a strong comeback and that makes me happy. Also, LolliLove is a great independent movie - you can buy it on Amazon.com or rent it. It's got a lot of stars in it. And me.
SITCOMS! I've worked as a writers' assistant on "Seinfeld" and "Clerks: The Animated Series" and loved it. Those were my favorite jobs in the world. I was around smart, funny, creative people on a daily basis. But I digress... My favorite shows that I watch are: "The Office," "How I Met Your Mother, " "30 Rock," "Family Guy," "Robot Chicken," "SNL" "Pushing Daisies," "Dirty Sexy Money," "CSI," "Psych," "Monk" and "Gossip Girl." As far as reality television, I'm in LOVE with "Flipping Out" and "What Not To Wear" on TLC and "Project Runway" on Bravo. Sigh. TV = goodness.
I'm not kidding when I tell you ALL these books are on my nightstand right now: "Life's Journey's According to Mr. Rogers" by Fred Rogers; "It's Not Easy Being Green & other things to Consider" by Jim Henson; "Born Standing Up" by Steve Martin, "A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style" by Tim Gunn; "I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America's Top Comics" compiled by Ritch Shydner and Mark Schiff; "Bitter is the new Black" by Jen Lancaster; "The Complete Guide to Self Publishing" by Tom and Marilyn Ross; "What No One Tells the Bride" by Mary Stark; "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugendes; and "The Complete Idiot's Guide: A Smart Vocabulary" by Paul McFedries.
People with comedic timing. My family. My friends. Teachers. The guy who invented tea a million years ago. Dogs that don't bite. Anybody who isn't an asshole. Blue states. The Muppets!!

You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.
If only your routine didn't always bomb!
You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.
