About Me

This layout is from whateverlife.com!

~ Hi there! Welcome to my domain. ~
~ Bonjour et bienvenue dans mon coin cybérique. ~

A few years ago, I moved from lovely Belgium to fabulous New York, the city I now call home.

I really don't like to make long speeches about myself, so you'll just have to find out. To quote Andy, the kooky brother-in-law in Weeds: "I have many layers - I'm like lasagna."
I write silly blogs and like to use this site as a creative outlet. MySpace to me is like a sidewalk cafe where you can observe people go by, understand who they are, learn a thing or two, enjoy a nice read and have a nice chat with the person sitting at the next table. Anyone who is on the same wave length or French-speaking, open-minded, artistic, goofy, chatty, [insert adjective of your choice], has my vote.

My Interests

~ Way too many to mention. ~

I'd like to meet:

~ Well you, if you have something to say.
But I have to be honest with you though: I hate, hate, hate blind friend requests. Hate them. A little introduction is just more polite, don't you think? And while we are on the subject, I might as well tell you that I hate, hate, hate those "please read my blog" things. Especially if I don't know you. Hate them.~

~ To be added to my music collection, send your request this way:
• Juliette's music collection •

~ I'd also like to meet this well-travelled reporter:

~ and this very funny lady:

Music:

~ My tastes in musics are really eclectic: from jazz to R&B, classical music, rock, pop, etc.
~ I am keeping my cyber music collection, over here:

Television:

~ So yes, I no longer own one. ~

But I am a very good Netflix customer and love these good TV series which I discovered on DVD: Six feet under, Sex and the city, The Sopranos, Entourage, The office (UK version) and I just discovered Huff and Weeds.

Books:

Most of the books I have read and loved are in French. I need to build my English library.
Send me suggestions!
So let's do something different: ~~ websites I enjoy checking on a regular basis ~~
~ www.lesoir.be (news from back home AND especially the "EN IMAGES" section. I highly recommend it!!! You don't need to know French to enjoy it. But you may learn a few things by reading the captions. Those photos are always breathtaking)
~ www.lalibre.be (news from back home)
~ www.weather.com (a must for educated wardrobe choices )
