G.W.FEST IS AN ALL DAY OUTDOOR MUSIC CONCERT IN AID OF MYTON HOSPICE, THE EVENT IS BEING HELD AT THE GREAT WESTERN PUB, COVENTRY ROAD WARWICK, TEL:01926 493186

JAMSONS NOOK - "Jamsons Nook is an eclectic live four piece. Playing original material blending elements of Latin, funk, folk, and electronica, they are an endless stream of tight rhythms and thoughtful ramblings. Every gig is a unique experience and a chance to spread some of that good feeling around, make sure you catch them soon!" The Essential (but brief) Biog Jamsons Nook was conjured up in 2003 by acoustic singer/songwriter/guitarist Ben, and Drummer/Percussionist Kaz after playing in various bands together around Warwickshire. In 2004 they joined forces with fretless funk bass player Tim, and in late 2005 they acquired the turntable skills of Vince. They have played various venues in various guises, ranging from the Midlands, to even a couple of dates in New Zealand.
LAURA BETTINSON - is an exciting prospect deploying an interesting blend of innovation and traditional singer-songwriter melodies. STONE FOUNDATION - Are not to be missed... Having played the likes of the Marquee & Glee Club more than once, Stone Foundation are a proven act of highly talented individuals & there's seven of them!
SI HAYDEN - Virtuoso solo guitarist. Fusing many styles of music, creating an explosive & dynamic sound. Guaranteed to hold an audience mesmerised with his on stage sound & presence. A fusion of Jazz, Blues, Flamenco, Funk & percussive Drum & Bass rhythms all on a single nylon strung guitar...Not to be missed live !
BEN CLEMPSON - Another very talented guitarist with a strong vocal line too. Singer songwriter Ben has a unique style... Just visit his myspace now (see top friends) to hear 'Whiskey' it's amazing !
THE ADAM PHILLIPS BLUES TRIO - Very talented musicians playing many styles of Blues with guitar, piano, bass & drums. They play tracks by people like BB King, Muddy Waters and Elmore James. They also play a lot of New Orleans songs- Dr John, Professor Longhair and so on.
HIGH RISING - High Rising were born back in February 2004 in the Midland town of Leamington Spa. Having different musical influences is enabling us to write a diverse and unique blend of guitar fed tunes, with vocals to-die-for and melodies to savour!!. Our distinct sound is constantly bringing us recognition locally and further a field.
COFASTREE - A four piece Coventry based band with strong influences of Pink Floyd, Crosby Stills and Nash, Love , Brian Wilson, Van Morrison, Neil young Traffic, Caravan and more greats.
LAMENT - Created by songwriters Kath Kimber and Anthony McTiffen who recruited Michael Melbourne and Tom Haines in January 2005 for live gigs and recently joined by Wayne Matthews on bass guitar. Laments sound is difficult to catagorise as its influences bear the marks of Brazilian rhythms, Flamenco flourishes and also hints of Jazz creating a Latin vibe. Vocalist, Kath has a pure and soulful voice which cuts through with soaring and catchy melodies. In this short time they have very quickly built up a name for themselves and are generating a large fanbase from shows all over the West Midlands, as well as live sessions on BBC West Midlands, Ben Turner Show, The Jimmy Franks Show and BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, Bob Brolly Show, Anita Miah Show and Vic Minnett Show.
THE FARIES BAND - Shouty, funny, poppy, punky fairy rock n roll...Just check out their site in top friends, very entertaining... they may just steal the show !! :0)
KINGTIDE - Another band lead by siblings, Kingtide write catchy guitar music with and introspective/Indie feel.
SATIN DOLLS - WELCOME TO THE SATIN DOLLS !! The Satin Dolls are a full blooded (British) kick ass Rock band from the Midlands with a live set that will leave music lovers crawling back for more and rival acts running for their ego surgeons.
DIG THE PIG - It ain't pretty, but it's the real thing! Yes, Dig the Pig are a conglomerate of Warwicks musicians coming together to create a brand of blues that is set to bring the house down.
THE JEREMY ROGERS BAND - Warwicks Mr Mod owns somewhere in the regions of four or five scooters....no one is quite sure, not even him! Songs by The Beatles, The Jam, Donavan and Paul Weller are played with emotion and integrity.
THE TIDE - The Tide formed in mid 2004 establishing themselves on the local circuit within a matter of months and performing at sold-out venues - setting the pace for their continued success. Exhilerating and exciting performances have seen the band grow into one of the areas most entertaining and freshest bands.
