I am a playwright/producer/director and I am also founder and owner of an urban inspirational theater & film production and artist management company entitled New Level Productions! Here is a little bit about me:This Jamaica-Queens, New York native has been a lover of the theater arts since tender age of eleven, while working alongside and watching his uncle and one of his mentors, writer/producer/director Dana S. Hubbard on his theater production of "Dancin' At The Palace". Ever since then, Ronnie has been bitten by the entertainment bug.He has been favored to have been working in the entertainment industry for over ten years now, in the fields of theater, television, film, music, and dance, working as a Production Assistant, Assistant Production Manager, Production Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, and Production Stage Manager in various theater, film, and television productions such as: "Livin' Fat", "God's Trombones", "From Tambourines To Glory", Dana S. Hubbard's "Every Dog Has His Day", the New York Off-Broadway Hit "Valentino:The Musical", David E. Talbert's hit stageplay "Love On Layaway", Jean-Claude LaMarre's feature film "Go For Broke", David E. Talbert's feature film "A Woman Like That", and many other productions.Now at the age of 30, he has his newest and most fulfilling role as a Writer/Producer/Director. Down through the years Ronnie has had the opportunity to work with such great talented artists and actors such as Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, LisaRaye, LaShun Pace, Latrice Pace, Ernest Thomas, Kirk Franklin, Pras Michael, Deborah Cox, David Hollister, and many other artists just to name a few.Ronnie was also a member of the world renowned hip-hop/gospel dance ministry "Adrian Ewings & The Steps Of Praise" out of San Diego, CA, which toured with Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, and others on The Nu Nation Tour in the late nineties. Also, he was a member of the Multi- Grammy & Stellar Award Winning Love Fellowship Choir and a member of the Grammy Award winning Love Fellowship Tabernacle Church Choir.In early 2002, God put a charge on the heart of Ronnie to start a gospel theater company entitled New Level Productions. This company is an urban inspirational theater production company based in New York City, in which has also expanded to the Atlanta, GA market in early 2008 with the extension of New Level Productions in Atlanta. With God being at the head of it all, New Level Productions develops, produces, and directs inspirational theater productions for both Ronnie J. Johnson and other aspiring playwrights that will encourage, enlighten, and help to heal someone's life.Ronnie J. Johnson and New Level Productions are currently producing two major theater productions, with the remounting of his original stageplay "The Soul Of A Man" and the debut of one of his new plays "Love Don't Cost A Thang!...Or Does It?". And he is currently writing a few new projects "For The Love Of Money!", "The Morning After", "Ladies In Waiting", and "Treat Her Like A Lady", and a few others. And God has allowed him to start a new role as a Christian Inspirational Novelist. So be on the lookout for urban inspirational novels from Ronnie J. Johnson, adapted from his stage plays.
