His commercial value may just be that he is traditionally uncommercial and writes songs about all the things we talk about daily to our inner most circle of friends, but never want to publicly reveal."
****************************** CREATIVE LOAFING: "Chason Flanders is a unique hybrid of Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice and David Gray."
****************************** JH(Musician Winder)-Your music simply does do what music intends on doing (taking feelings and expressing them through song) and you know how to do that. You put everything you have HEART and SOUL into your music and I appreciate that.
********************************* Jeff (Musician NW GA)-Man, what a voice. You have talent my friend. Sing and Write on dude! Dang good.
****************************** Krystal (Musician Athens)-Everytime I listen to "Can Of Worms" I start to cry. You say what I've been feeling for a long time and put into music what I can't say! Thank you for the beautiful music.

I have been singing and playing music since I was a little boy. It started in church and then went on to choral productions and musicals at school all the way through college. I had some bands during those days, but nothing worth mentioning. After college I started playing and singing in retro cover bands that played songs from the 60's and 70's. I absolutely love the music from these eras. One of mention, The Graveyard Men, which I played with for two years, practiced out of the studio run by the leader of the band and lead guitarist. We actually performed a good many shows and had a decent following, making some pretty good money for those days, but it wasn't right for me. I continued to feel like I was missing something and struck out on my own playing acoustic shows where-ever I could get a gig.I got signed by a small Indie label out of Athens, GA in 1999, and toured the East coast playing Eddie's Attic, The Loft, The Bitter End, CBGB'c Gallery Side, and other great venues with two other song-writers that were on the label. With the label's help and a little known Non-profit radio promotion company, I landed on over 200 College and Indie radio stations on the East Coast, and started seeing some great sales for my first release, "Here We Go Again" skyrocket. I sold over 10,000 copies of that first cd, got some really good press, and plays. When the label imploded in the late Summer of 2001, I was in the studio working on the second release.I completed the cd, started selling copies, got some small distribution deals and met the up with some amazing people that helped to complete the band and give fullness to the sounds I was laying down. I got some great opportunities to share the stage with some amazing artists and take part of several huge benefit concerts. Right before my wife's company moved us to Tuscaloosa, I played at Wild Bill's for Aid4Autism and was offered three record deals from Christian Labels. With the contracts being very one sided, and my previous experience with labels, I decided to continue to write and play on my own, sharing what God has done for me in my life, as well as a message of Peace, Love and Harmony.Blessings!Chason
