ReShonda Tate Billingsley If you look up the definition of blessed in the dictionary, you'll see my picture.
That's because I'm living my dream of being a full-time author and a mother to three wonderful kids. I left my job as a general assignment reporter for KRIV-TV, the Fox affiliate in Houston, Texas to write books full time. I'm a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and have worked for TV stations in Beaumont and Oklahoma City. I also taught college at Langston University for several years and have even worked as a reporter with The National Enquirer.
I'm a member of The National Association of Black Journalists and a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I love to read, write poetry (I'm a five-time grand slam winner in the Chrysler Spoken Word contest) and motivational speaking.
I've written eleven books in the past three years. My latest projects include: Everybody Say Amen, the sequel to my blockbuster sophomore novel, Let the Church Say Amen, I Know I've Been Changed, the anthology Have A Little Faith and the nonfiction book, Help, I've Turned into My Mother. I'm really excited about my inspirational teen series, Nothing But Drama, Blessings in Disguise and With Friends Like These . My upcoming adult novels include: The Pastor's Wife (Nov. 2007), and Can I Get a Witness (Nov. 2007).
