Will there be a third Gallagher Girls book after I'D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU and CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY?
Yes! I'm absolutely thrilled to tell you that the Gallagher Girls are far from over. I'm afraid I can't release any details about the title or plot for GG3 right now, but rest assured that it is coming and as soon as I can release the details I will!

How many Gallagher Girl novels will there be?
I'm not 100% sure (but I have a hunch.) Let me just say that as long as you guys keep buying the books I'll keep writing them until the ENTIRE story has been told.

Do you think you'll ever write any more books besides the Gallagher Girl books?
Yes! I'm soooo happy because I actually just sold the first book in what I hope will be a new series. It's about a girl who comes from a family of high-end conmen and thieves and the harder she tries to leave the family business the more they pull her back in. Everyone keeps calling it "Ocean's 11 meets Veronica Mars" (which suits me just fine!)

Has I'D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU really been optioned for a movie?
Yes! The utterly amazing people at Walden Media (the production company that made CHRONICLES OF NARNIA) has purchased the option from Disney, and rumor has it they're working on a script right now. And the coolest thing is that the producer is the same woman who produced THE PRINCESS DIARIES and SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS!!

(Am I cool yet? Does this mean I'm cool?)

I love those books so much. I'm not sure I deserve to be in that company, but the good people at Disney think so (and I'm not going to tell them otherwise!)

Where/how can I try out for the movie?
I'm afraid I don't really have any information on that. I probably won't get any either, but if I do I'll post it here and on AllyCarter.com .

What are your adult books like, and would I like them?
I think so (but I'm justifiably biased). While the characters in Cheating at Solitaire and Learning to Play Gin don't rappel off of as many buildings as the Gallagher Girls, they do kick butt in their own way. Oh, and there are excerpts available here, so check them out!

Are you sure you can't tell me where the movie tryouts are going to be?
Sorry. I truly, honestly don't know.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?
The two best things any writer can do are read a lot and write a lot! Also, don't worry about getting your book or story perfect the first time--just keep writing. It takes a lot of work and practice, but when you've written something you like, there's no greater feeling.

Are you going on tour sometime?
I'm afraid I don't have any tour dates planned at this time. If that changes, I'll post when and where.

I wrote you a message. Why haven't you written me back?
I always try to write readers back--I promise. But sometimes I can't because MySpace won't let me send messages to people who aren't my friends, and sometimes people have their privacy settings set so that I can't add them as friends. So therefore, if you don't add me as a friend, I'm afraid I can't message you back. So friend me, please, if you want a message in return (which I would love to do!)

Who are your favorite writers?
I'm usually in awe of amazing authors like Meg Cabot, Jennifer Weiner, Sarah Dessen, Alison Pace, E. Lockhart, Megan Shull, and pretty much anyone in my 'top friends.'
