Don Prentiss journalist
THE WRITER: In all of my stories, I investigate the character's inner beings and the reasons behind their actions, more so then focusing on what they do - to me why they do something is more important - why they stand and fight for what they believe in is more important - like a person - I care more about the soul that drives that person then the shell that stands before me. My work is based on my beliefs in psychological theory and study, philosophy and spirituality. I also base much of what I write on experience and the study of other's experiences. I also write horror reviews for UNSPEAKABLE MAG and I do international movie reviews for SICKBOY magazine. I just started working on my first screenplay and have 2 graphic novels kicking around in the background- I keep myself pretty busy. My first released novel WHEN A SECOND IS FOREVER has been published by UNSPEAKABLE PRESS (outta Texas) and is currently available for purchase. A love story amidst the end of days - this tale is a look into the broken hearts and minds of those lonely many left behind by another, left with nothing but confusion and sadness weighing down upon their souls. Set in a landscape of horror and extreme violence, I explore the question "Can someone with a pure heart, passion and drive, someone who is doing something in the name of love and selflessness - can he/she actually conquer all?" After 2 chapters though, my original editor said it's too graphic to continue reading and then he quit on me - what a lightweight. Targeted for the horror market, fans of Takashi Miike or Evil Dead should enjoy this bloody little treat with heart. For more info on purchasing a copy, leave me a message, contact Unspeakable press at http://www.myspace.com/unspeakablepress, go to lulu.com or amazon.com.
