About Me

My name is Alan Rowe Kelly - director, writer & actor of independent horror movies. My debut film I'LL BURY YOU TOMORROW had the great fortune to win numerous awards at film festivals worldwide and is currently available at Heretic Films. My second film, THE BLOOD SHED, just won BEST FEATURE at the Dark Carnival Film Fest and BEST PROSTHETICS at the Fear In New Orleans Film Festival, and is now released nationally through Heretic Films! I am currently in post-production with a horror tale called A FAR CRY FROM HOME, slated for the horror anthology film HUNG BY A THREAD in early 2008.
I am also having the best time appearing in upcoming indie films such as Anthony G. Sumner's W.O.R.M.(Winner of Best Horror Short @ Dark Carnival Film Fest!), Joe Sullivan's DEAD SERIOUS, Cameron Romero's THE SCREENING, Jeremiah Kipp's THE POD, Bart Mastronardi's VINDICATION, Michael Todd Schneider's OPENING THE MIND, Joshua Nelson's EAT YOUR HEART OUT and the upcoming PINK EYE, Stolis Hadjicharalambous' CROSSED and DING DONG DATE, and Tate Steinsiek's DEVOURED.
I recently served as Executive Producer on Anthony G. Sumner's film adaptation of Douglas Smith's chilling short story BY HER HAND, starring Zoe Daelman Chlanda and Jerry Murdock.I am presently starting pre-production on a horror web series called THE HOLLOWS and completing scripts for SPORE!, A MURDER OF CROWS and working to finally get UNHALLOWED GROUND off the ground in the next year. I am also adapting and updating the 1948 Edna Sherry suspense tale SUDDEN FEAR (which became a classic 1952 Joan Crawford film noir thriller) for the screen in which I will play a famous playwright marked for murder.
