Sony Music Publishing song writer Kerry Harwell aka Phenom, knows what it means to work with dedication,determination,and discipline. He has established himself as a true professional in the world of song writing and music production. His career thus far attests to his creative talents and strength. Those who know him define him as a overcomer and survivor. He is the former CO-CEO of KLD Productions and KLD Studios. KLD's former clients include, Blaque,Jagged Edge, Kandi, Wu-Tang Clan, Raven Symone, and Sole just to name a few. Over the years Phenom has been instrumental in developing recording artist, and helping them get deals with major labels.It all began in the late nineties when the late Lisa"Left-Eye" Lopez of "TLC" approached his former company KLD, along with Fort Apache Entertainment, to develop the platinum r & b group "Blaque". They were very instrumental in creating the music ,and vision to obtain "Blaque's" record deal with Columbia/Sony.Thereafter, they produced mind-blowing songs on the platinum groups first Sony release. His pen has since composed songs that have captivated music lovers worldwide.Ever mindful, of the evolving and changing music industry landscape, he has established a new music production company called, " Hit Syndicate" along with producer Paul Lipscomb. Be on the look out for hit songs, ground-breaking production, and true recording artist with his new endeavor. Originally from Indianapolis,Indiana Phenom's talents reach far beyond his home base in Atlanta. His music education started in the mid-west at Broad Ripple High School where he studied performing arts. His education thereafter was done the old fashion way. In the studio,and on stage. He's been making moves in the Dirty South for a decade now.Soon after his arrival in the southern music mecca , he was discovered and managed by Ian Burke. Mr Burke, the former manger for TLC,OutKast and Xscape took one listen and vowed to take his career to the next level. Three months later a deal with Sony Music Publishing was inked. Not only was Mr Burke a veteran manager, but he also was a A & R for Elektra Entertainment/ Warner Brothers. Phenom's affiliation with Mr Burke, allowed him to produce demos to help recording artist obtain deals. This afforded him the opportunity to learn many things hands on. The ability to develop recording artist, and to understand what," the music industry wants" is his gift. He has the uncanny ability to discover amazing talent, and mold it into a marketable commodity.
