Antonio Stapleton is a new breed of musical star, combing such genres as R&B, Soul, and Rock. Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Antonio started singing at the age of four. After displaying advanced musical abilities, at the age of ten, Antonio began singing with his grandmother in the adult choir at a local church. While other kids his age were outside playing and riding bikes, Antonio spent most of his time in the house recording and singing songs with the radio. Antonio or "Tone Tone" as others called him, could often be seen performing Michael Jackson songs in his room or dancing in front of the TV.
At the age of twelve, Antonio and his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, which was fast becoming known for its music scene. By the time he graduated high school, Antonio had fully become amerced in the music industry and had traveled the world, touring with the Atlanta Boys Choir; he also began his career as a background singer, performing for EMI Gospel artists Kiki Sheard and Darlene McCoy, Def Jam superstar Mariah Carey, Epic Artist William Murphy, the wonderful Israel Houghton, LaTrice Pace (from The Anointed Pace Sisters), Alju Jackson from the UPN TLC search "Are You The Girl?", India Sean, and lent his vocals to the studio recordings of Canton Jones and IROCC Williams. He continues to be a featured performer on the "New Birth Presents A Rocc'n Christmas" CD.
Now at the age of 19, the very gifted and talented Antonio is ready to make his mark on the music industry as a solo artist and song writer. To date he has had three major placements as a songwriter and two of his songs added to radio rotation. In the first quarter of 2008, Antonio will be releasing his new single, which will be the prelude to his highly anticipated debut album, to be released in mid-2008.
