Vocalist and harp-player Rune Myhren started his musical carreer in 1990. Myhren is inspired by great harp-players like Rice "Sonny Boy 2" Miller, Big Walter Horton and George "Harmonica" Smith. With a mix of these genres Myhren has throughout the last 16 years tried to adapt his own style.
Myhren has toured and shared stage with bluesartists like Bob Margolin, James Harman, Snooky Pryor, Mel Brown, Mark Hummel, Gary Primich, R.J. Mischo, Billy Branch, Terry Hanck and Junior Watson. It was the friendship towards some of these artists that brought him over to San Francisco in September 2003 with his CD-project - "Sampled Minds" - produced by Garth Webber.
Rune Myhren is also founder of the international harp concept - "Harmonica Tribute" - www.harmonicatribute.com - frequently gathering different harp-players to honour great harp legends like Sonny Terry, Little Walter, Rice "Sonny Boy 2" Miller, Junior Welles, "Big" Walter Horton, George "Harmonica" Smith and Jimmy Reed. In may 2006 this concept will feature Excello-legend Lazy Lester. Lester and Myhren will after the harp shows travel duo for 1 month in june 2006 with the concept - "Blues From The Swamps". In january 2006 Myhren and guitarist - Glenn Gran - recorded the new CD - "60 Days Of Passion"- in Austin, Texas - produced by Gary Primich and backed by the Gary Primich rhythm section - Jim Starboard (drums) and Dave Wesselovski (bass). This project will also feature Fabulous Thunderbirds pianoplayer - Gene Taylor. For festivals and larger venues the band will be: Rune Myhren (vocal/harp) Glenn H. Gran (guitar) Ole Martin Røsten (bass) Anders Damås (drums).
