Jazz is not dead, it just smells funny

About Me

Hank Shreve began his passion for music at the young age of 8. Parents Bill and Laurie Shreve and great friend, Willie Webber, always had a band, so there was instant inspiration.
He first started playing when one of the band members (Dino Albaugh) left his harmonicas at the house, Hank was immediately attracted to the harmonica, so he picked one up and began playing, as if it were calling to him. No lessons or anything. Over the next few years, Hank proceeded pick up drums, guitar, piano, bass and vocals.
Although young in the music business, Hank has already opened and/or played with such greats as: Merle Haggard, Norton Buffalo, Honeyboy Edwards, Mark Pender, Sista Monica, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Johnny Dyer, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Marcia Ball, Sugar Pie Desanto, Coco Montoya, Curtis Salgado, The North Mississippi All-Stars, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Paul deLay Band, WC Clark, and many more!
These days, you can always find Hank performing with The Ty Curtis Band. For more info, please take a look at www.myspace.com/thetycurtisband. Hank plays both harmonica and keyboards with TCB. The Ty Curtis Band is in the studio right as speak working on their 2nd album. You can also catch Hank with the Lane Community College Jazz Ensemble. Hank is currently serving as the Drummer for the Jazz Ensemble.
Hank uses Hohner and Suzuki diatonic harmonicas, and Hohner chromatic harmonicas.
