About Me

I am a native Californian, I feel blessed to call the beautiful, Bay Area home. I love nature and animals.We are custodians of this Earth and I try to treat it and others with respect. I own a small housecleaning business, and am also a Nutrition Specialist, many ills can be cured with proper nutrition, I am currently working on furthering my education in the health field so that one day I can help others help themselves. I am also in the process of learning all that I can, in regards to alternative healing,creative writing and holistic therapuetic modalities. Once that is done I hope to work as a Community Health worker, helping people who are dealing with a life threatening illness and chronic conditions. I love the written word and have been writing forever, mainly poetry and short stories. I had a column in my towns paper called, 'Healthy Living', which was very popular for a few years, I had to give it up due to work demands. I am happy to say that my love of writing is starting to payoff, as my first poetry book entitled: A MEMORY PLACED IN THE HEART, is now available at WWW.PUBLISHAMERICA.COM and AMAZON.COM My poems speak of nature and the beauty that surrounds us on any given day. I have had the privilege of walking through Redwood forests and standing on desolate beaches, and I knew where I stood was sacred ground. I have many hobbies, other than writing, a few of these are, photography, music, and reading. AN AUTUMN SUNSET;
An autumn sunset, burns with a passion
that does not compare to any other time of year
It seems to blend with the colors of the earth
setting the world aglow
adding a warmth to the chill air
taking your senses for a ride
over crimson hills and sky
to a land luminous and rich
where prairies of gold and plains of orange
set your eyes aflame
with the wonder of it all

CREATORS VOICE:
I can hear the whisper of Gods voice
in the early morning

He whispers from the towering redwoods
as a small cone drops to the carpeted earth

His whisper escapes from the wing
of a passing birdBR>
I hear his whisper from the running water
of the summer river

And I feel his whisper upon my cheeks
in the fresh air of a forest

SETTING SUN:
The setting sun lingers, as though teasing

Music:

I love just about all music. Blues and Rock are probably my favorites, people like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, B.B.King, Muddy Waters. However; I believe there is beauty in just about all music.

Movies:

Favorite movies, 'Phenomenon' with John Travolta, 'Blues Brothers 2000' If you love music you gotta see that one, 'The way we were' and 'It's a wonderful life' I know I am leaving some out, but those are my all time favorites.

Television:

I am hooked on daytime soaps. ABC soaps to be specific, especially 'General Hospital' My favorite prime time shows are 'Dancing with the Stars' Ugly Betty, Eli Stone, Nature shows on National Geographic and PBS HBO's 'Big Love'

Books:

This is hard because I love so many books!!! One of my all time favorite authors, is Tony Hillerman, I love his mysteries set in the Southwest and his understanding of the Native culture, is wonderful. Also enjoy reading poetry. Alexander McCall Smith's series "The 1st ladies detective agency' is a wonderful read. Philosophy and alternative religious, spiritual books are also of great interest.

Heroes:

Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, I admire people who can illicit change in a non violent way. Also Joan of Arc, she was not afraid to go the distance for what she believed in.
