About Me

Get this video and more at MySpace.com That video, from one of my favorite TV shows sums up my attitude on friendship. I'm not perfect but I hope that my friends see me as a guy that will jump down that same hole to help them out. If you don't get that then you didn't watch the damn video above and should go back and do so now so that you are clued into what I was just saying. Anyway...me... I like to think that I am an optomistic guy (my bro would call me a hippie liberal douche, but lets not mince words), who has the ability to find the good in people and in life. I am a writer and a musician, attending SBCC in Santa Barbara and I manage some amazing and talented artists icnluding the crazy and talented metal band The Changing whom you can get to know at www.thechanging.com, The wonderful Sweedish singer/songwriter Camilla, order her debut single at www.camillagervide.com. And also the lovely Charissa Nicole whom you can see performing with yours truly singing harmonies right here:
Get this video and more at MySpace.com 2007 is a year where I am hoping some of the projects and endeavors I have undertaken will find success. I am begining work on a musical project of my own, more details on that later. I currently reside in Santa Barbara, but travel to LA nearly every week because that is where my business and a lot of my friends are. The long and short of it is that I am hoping to carve out a place for me and the people that I care about to do what we love to do. If that doesn't happen, then I am sure as hell going to enjoy all the moments leading up to that time when I finally accept that what I want just isn't gonna happen. »-(¯`v´¯)-» Design your MySpace with MyLook «-(¯`v´¯)-«

My Interests

Movies, TV, Art, Books, Politics, Sports, to name a few. I love this world and I love doing things that provide new insights into that elusive question... Why? There is so much to see and do and I want to do and see as much as I can. My main interest is enjoying life to the fullest.

I'd like to meet:

I subvscribe to Will Rdgers theory that "I never met a person I didn't like." People are such an enigma, so full of unpredictable impulse and stubburn habit. I try to practice the difficult task of accepting people for who they are and standing by them when they are being attacked by others. It makes it difficult when the attacker is someone whom I like, as is often the case, and it is humbling when I discover that I, in my efforts to help another, inadvertantly become the attacker myself. I guess the bottom line is that I try my best to be good to those I come in contact with and to learn from and enjoy them as much as possible.

Music:

I have managed to stay a starry-eyed music lover through the last few years of hanging out with serious musicians and becoming a fairly serious musician myself. With that said I have decided to limit this list to the desert island top ten artists that have influenced me the most: Garth Brooks, Sting, The Warren Brothers, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, The Eagles, Trisha Yearwood, Rob Thomas and The Black Crowes.Recently I have been loving Corine Bailey Rae, The Killers, and I have dug into the past and gotten heavy into Stevie Nicks solo stuff, Alice in Chains and a lot of classic rock (Rolling Stones, Aersomtih The Doors and Tom Waits because he's the man and all my pals are obsessed).

Movies:

I Love the movies as much as I love music. I will again list the current top ten: Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, The Godfather trilogy, Back to the future, Almost Famous, Magnolia, Chasing Amy, Keeping the Faith, Love Actually snf Die HardRecently I have loved The Departed, Stranger Than Fiction, The Illusionist, Man of the Year and The Holiday

Television:

It's becmoing a trend here are my top ten TV shows The West Wing Friends Sports Night 24 The X Files Firefly Alias Mad About You Moonlighting Northern ExposureRight now I love Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Friday Night Lights, Two and Half Men and How I Met Your Mother

Books:

I love the classics, Shakespere, Dickens, Twain, Homer, Hemingway, Melvillle and Jane Austen would be near the top of the list. Contemporary authors I enjoy include Dennis Lahane Nick Honrby, Dan Brown, Robert Ludlum, Nicholas Sparks and John Grisham.

Heroes:

Garth Brooks, Babyface, Aaron Sorkin, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Bill Clinton, Martin Luther King, Shakespere, John Stockton, Cal Ripken Jr., Walter Payton, Bob Costas my mom and dad, and anyone who puts on a police, fire department or armed forces uniform, bless you all for putting it all on the line to protect this potentially great, if not yet fully realized idea, of a country , while we try and figure out who we are, both individually and as a nation.

Kicking it off...

So I haven't blogged in a while and as I have a tendency to say after not blogging for a while, I have missed doing so.  It's not that there hasn't been stuff going on (God knows there has been s...

Baseball and Life

So as I mourn the faded post-season hopes of my beloved Los Angeles Angels of Aneheim, for the non-sports enthusiasts out there, they are a baseball team that I have rooted for since I could...

I can't say that I saw that movie, but I didn't want to turn anyone off who might have seen it and not wanted to read a blog about it.  All right so the mountains have turned me stupid.  Has...

Post Memorial Day political rant/history lesson SORRY EVERYONE but it's necessary

I recently had the misfortune of having my political and moral beliefs attacked.  Now I say misfortune not because of the fact that I don't like to debate these issues, because I do.  I...
