I am a wife and mother. I am married to a wonderful man named Travis. I have two awesome kids, Tandice is 5 and Trace is 3. They are the best kids any parent could hope for! Tandice is a absolute doll and VERY smart. She is such great help to me and loves to be in the kitchen. She keeps us busy with her activities. Travis and I coached her soccer team this season and we just had a blast, not to mention we learned a lot about a sport neither one of us had ever played! She is involved with Keepers of the Faith. If you have never heard of it, it is just like Girls Scouts but with the exception that it is Bible based. Travis and I joke that Tandi will most likely be famous and maybe a philanthropist! She loves music, dancing and singing. Our son, Trace, is ALL boy. I can hardly keep up with him most days. What can I say...he loves his Mama and tractors! He loves music and loves to strum the guitar and plunk on our piano. We must be crazy, because Santa is bringing him drums! He loves tools and is always ready to help Daddy with any project going on at the time.
We recently moved to our new home in Republic, Washington, where Travis works for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as the Range Supervisor for the Colville National Forest. We have lived many places in our 7 years of marriage. We lived in Nevada for 4 years and Eastern Oregon for 3 years as Travis use to work for the U.S. Department of Interior-BLM. We are finally closer to our families and enjoying every minute of it. The Grandparents are just thrilled to say the least! Travis and I also stay busy with church activities. Travis and I both taught Sunday school and were Leaders in the AWANA program up until our move. That was so much fun to be around all those children and the best reward was watching them grow in God. Travis taught 5th grade--all boys!! The pastor always joked that because of his dedication with that age group he got an instant pass to Heaven! LOL My hubby, Travis, trains horses in his spare time. Travis and I have more horses than I care to mention! I help as much as I can with the training. I typically help with the round penning and he rides the fresh ones. We do allot of horse related activities. We ride just about every chance we get and a few times during the year we go camping for a few days with our horses. This is the kids' favorite thing to do! It is so much fun all of us. My hubby, Travis, enjoys making furniture, welding and restoring old trucks. I swear there isn't anything Travis can't do! And anything he wants to do, he does it with his own two hands. He is THEE most talented person on this earth. Travis can build and invent anything he wants to! For those of you who have the privilege of knowing Travis, know exactly what I am speaking of and will agree that he is the most amazing man ever!
These days, I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mother as I use to work for the second largest county in the U.S. as legal secretary for the Juvenile Parole and Probation Division. After moving to Oregon, I quit my job and eventually, started up my own business. Nothing that special, I just jumped on the online auction band wagon. My biggest client was the county. I sold all their seized property from various illegal seizures. It was an awesome job and I am hoping that once we are settled in our new town and make the right connections, I can eventually pick up where I left off. I am currently on the steering team for an International Organization called M.O.P.S (Mothers of Preschoolers). I am the craft coordinator. I play Bonco once a month with a crazy group of gals. It is a blast--even when I don't win! My family and I are very active in the Northeast Washington Fair. This was Tandi's third year showing her ewe 'Twinkle Star'. She has acquired 2 big trophies now. Trace attempted to show a ewe, but insisted on mutton bustin instead (remember what I said about ALL boy?) Plus, every time the ewe would ball it would startle him. So---he just watched Tandi show hers!
Travis and I have bought land and are planning on building a new home and outbuildings this spring. I am having so much fun picking out the moldings, windows, paint, doors, etc. for the house! The best part was designing our floor plan. I am TOTALLY pumped about my kitchen. It is going to be the best! That is a good thing for someone who spends a lot of her time in one! I could go and and on, but should close for now. I am looking forward to connecting with old friends and making new ones as well! God Bless! retro layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments
