Family, friends, reading, cryptic crosswords, music, movies, quizzes, walking, socialising, dining out.
Just about everybody. I enjoy making new friends, but I have a special place in my life for old friends too. I've left it too late to meet heroes like Mother Theresa, Nurse Maude, and Gandhi, but every new friend is also very special. I'd like to have been able to point out to Adolf Hitler and maybe Jack the Ripper the error of their ways, but it's too late for that now too.

Thrillers, detective stories, British Comedies, some American comedies, ridiculously funny stuff like The Young Ones, Little Britain, Blackadder, & Shooting Stars. Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Bottom. I like Taggart, Morse, Frost etc., almost any sort of quiz shows, and TV adaptations of anything by P.D.James or Minette Walters. I like to see TV news at least once each day, preferably neatly packaged in half-hour or one-hour parcels. I utterly detest so-called "Reality Shows" and soaps!
Thrillers, crime novels, fantasy stories. Lord of the Rings, anything by Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine, Minette Walters, P.D.James, Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell. Agatha Christie & Ngaio Marsh, also Hermann Hesse, Gunter Grasse, Spike Milligan, & the occasional Jilly Cooper for a giggle. This is a very condensed list. I've just read a trilogy by Philip Pullman - he's my new favourite! A whole new fantastic fantasy world!!!
