Oh dear! Tony Bennet (even before he was cool again), kd lang, Nancy Wilson, Wayland Jennings, Nana Mouskouri (I warned you, didn't I?), Jimmy Buffet, Frank Sinatra, the opera band, Robbie Williams, Eurythmics, Phil Collins, the polyphonic spree, Joe Cocker, INXS,
I guess, easy listening, light POP, light Opera, through to Baroque - Vivaldi, Bach, etc.
Not going into details here - family movies, I guess, with a message/moral/philosophy, plus romance, drama, action, subtle comedy - for instance I like the mix of elements in "Interview with a Vampire" .... "Fifth Element" is also a favourite view... "Long Kiss Goodnight" ... and I always like the good guys winning... I steadfastly follow the-Cowboys-in-White-Hats-always-win philosophy.... but then, some grey-areas make life more interesting...
I have a massive library of video movies & documentaries that I buy from video hire places, so I guess I like a pretty wide variety after all.
Tend to watch History Channel, National Geographic, etc etc. avoid the daily news as they just regurgitate verbal diahorreah every day to "beat up" non-news into the day's news.
Oh lordy - I also have a massive library of hard copy books and electronic books, as well as audio training tapes & video training tapes as well.
Mostly self development in some way, developing skills & life skills - although I do also love to read a good yarn.
Started out "adult reading" tastes with Isaac Asimov - still don't trust robots, and Eric Von Daniken etc. which is pretty stimulating stuff for a 13 year old. (But also read my mothers Georgette Heyer romance novels too...)
I agree with Jim Rohn who says you are better off doing without a meal than doing without a book!
My library also has all sorts of "how to" books that I collect for a rainy day when I'm old & looking for something new to learn & do - so I'm stocked up & ready for that eventuality too!
Just can't pass by a good book.
