classically trained, fearlessly inventive, anne garner was driven to become a singer-songwriter after performing an original piece at her mother's funeral. having honed her sound she is now recording her first major album ‘trusting a twirled world’. these thought-provoking, emotive piano-based songs have been widely tipped to redefine contemporary classical/ folk lyricism and composition.
she has worked with diverse artists (richard h kirk, the shamen, lol hammond, the orb, animat and the irresistible force) and has performed at the boom festival, five big chills, london's county hall, the spitz (arctic circle) and the union chapel. anne also collaborates in the slowcraft project and curates the daylight music festival, the capital's ongoing showcase for new and emerging talent.
