Thanks for visiting the OFFICIAL FreeHand Baby Carrier MySpace page!
FreeHand Baby Carriers is owned and operated by a Work at home mother of 3. FreeHand baby has been in business since May of 2004 and sold over 500 baby carriers world wide. We are located in Holiday, FL.
You might be wondering, " hmmm what *is* a FreeHand Baby Carrier?". Well, there are a few types, the most popular being the Mei Tai carrier which originated in China and made it's way over here and is becoming quite populare as a handful of work at home moms tackle the challenge of creating new and exciting designs to make these carriers easy to use, comfortable and BEAUTIFUL!
A mei tai can be worn from birth to toddlerhood, on the front or back and hip. It has no buckles or bars and folds up small enough to fit in a diaper bag. FreeHand Mei tais are increadbly sturdy and comfortable, bringing the baby into your center of gravity, not hanging off your shoulders like many store brand carriers. The 4 straps distribute the weight of your child evenly over both shoulders, back and waist so there is no pressure points. The baby's comfort is important too, as well as the health safety, so the design is meant to keep the baby in a sitting position with their knees higher then their bottom, not hanging by the crotch like other popular brand carriers. This positioning is important for healthy development of their growing spine and hips and can help prevent things like Hip Dysplasia and Scoliosis.

I'd like to meet:

Families that love their babies and would rather hold them and teach them about love and security rather than push independance on them before they can even talk. Women who beleive in Mothering and Nurturing and Teaching and Learning. People who aren't afraid to break out of the norm and try something new and different, who don't care about not fitting in with other moms and care more about their comfort and sanity then what is the latest fashion trend with strollers. People who beleive that children are are most wonderful gift and should be treated with love and gentleness. People who beleive that old traditions still have a place in our modern world, that can respect other cultures and be open minded enough to learn from them.

I Support and encourage Natural Childbirth, preferably in your home, extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping and many other natural views. I cater to these types of families.
