Based in Park City, Utah, the Nodance Film Festival celebrates the alternative digital film culture, with an emphasis on first-time filmmakers and digital filmmaking. Held annually in Park City, Utah, Nodance holds the distinction of being the worlds first DVD-projected film festival.
Nodance ran sucessfully for six years (1998-2004), and in 2002 was acquired by actor/director Forest Whitaker. While in Park City, Nodance hosted a seven-day event with parties and premieres, industry panels, a screenplay competition, online program, walk-in filmmaker screenings, and traveling roadshow for thousands of first-time filmmakers and audience members from around the globe.
