THE HISTORY

Film Threat began as a college fanzine founded by Chris Gore in Detroit in 1985. As the magazine evolved into a respected national publication, Gore relocated to Los Angeles in 1989. The magazine received national attention for its coverage of cult films, midnight movies and underground shorts before the market even emerged. Film Threat was the first mag to cover people like Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs).

After over a decade of covering cult films, underground shorts, alternative films and independent features, Film Threat the magazine was retired in 1997. But the legend has lived on as an internet journalism mainstay.

FILMTHREAT.COM
Continuing in the tradition set forth by the original print magazine, FilmThreat.com delivers the best in film reviews, film festival coverage, exclusive filmmaker interviews and original video content. From blogs to .. forums, FilmThreat.com is on the cutting edge of .. journalism, while staying as renegade as ever.

THE STAFF
While Chris Gore still maintains an active presence with Film Threat, the magazine is under the content guidance of Editor-in-Chief Mark Bell . However the site would mean nothing if not for the talented reviewers, columnists and festival reporters that keep the daily, high-quality content coming. Click here for a full listing of current FilmThreat.com staff and writers .

NOTE ON LEAVING COMMENTS

We've shut off html comments as our list was getting out of hand with images and videos and it was causing the entire page to load extremely slow. If you want us to see and review your film, old methods still apply . If you'd like to leave us a text-only comment, go right ahead.
