Hello, my name is Rob Cockerton - Born in the Late 60's I have been involved in and around the music scene for well over 19 years. I was given my first chance to strutt my stuff playing at parties organised by my friends and any where else that gave me an excuse to get my records out. In the early 90's i played a part in the organisation and Dj'ing at the legendary Camber Sands beach parties, as well as playing at the Notorius Hoods in the woods.After a stint working and helping out for Record Distributor EMPIRE in 1993, a close friend offered me the position of Manager of Hummit Records in Chelsea's trendy Kings Road. During my 3 years at Hummit I gained many contacts within the industry and very busy DJ'ing schedule soon followed, playing at such clubs as MINISTRY - TURNMILLS - CAMDEN PALAIS - CLUB UK - THE CHUNNEL CLUB - LEISURE LOUNGE, ICENI, L'EQUIPE ANGLAISE, QUE CLUB(BIRMINGHAM),LEGENDS, AQUARIUM, COLLOSEUM amongst others. When Hummit was forced to close in 1997 i went into partnership and brought Tart Records in Maidstone, Kent.In 1998 i left Tart Records to concentrate on writing and producing, as well as persue my DJing, with residencies at the POLO CLUB (Boughton Monchelsea) and the WAREHOUSE (now the Loft) in Maidstone, In 1999 I also won the Ministry Magazine "Up & Coming DJ Award", and was flown to Scotland to play at the huge ROOM AT THE TOP CLUB. This also led to a few weeks during the summer in Crete alongside Al Mackenzie, Steve Lee, Clive Henry.Also at that time i had started a night at a brand new venue, THE SOURCE with a then relatively unknown DJ and good friend Nic Fanciulli, the night "Deep Vision" went on to become the South Easts busiest mid-week affair, billed locally as 'The New Saturday' with guests such as Coloursound, Mixmag's Gavin Herlihy, Positiva's Ben Bleet, as well as a host of quality local talent including Mark Knight. I also was resident for "Funkaholic" in room 2 at "Club Class" on Fridays at IKON and LOFT and also was resident on Saturday Nights at "Source of Sound" at The SOURCE for 5 years. Also have worked in the studio with many of the great Engineers, including Andy Chatterly, James Reynolds, Sam Hambali and Dale Anderson. I enjoyed 3 years at Londons premier Dance record shop, Citysounds in Hatton Garden London, as well as helping out at Toolroom Records for a while. After Managing The Loft Nightclub for 18 Months i have decided to leave and concentrate on DJing. I currently run Warning Records alongside Craig Benitez
