From its HQ in Maidstone, Kent, Toolroom Records sets the standard as one of the most respected dance labels in the World, culminating in a House Music Award nomination for best label alongside other established successful labels. Toolroom Records started with the main aim of releasing quality 'house music' by new and well established artists and producers in the music industry. Our independent dance label has been set up and handled by people who are close to the scene and passionate about the music. We recognise the need for quality new music in a scene that was lacking new initiatives and innovation. We are about fresh, world class talent and cutting edge music.
Another factor in its success has been the remixes that Mark Knight and Martijn Ten Velden have done for the label, turning Hool vs. Bruckheimer's 'In the Beginning' and Granite and Phunk's 'Knock U Over' into huge records. Their remixes of many chart topping dance tracks have consistently filled the cooler dance floors across the globe spreading the ever growing Toolroom name.
Steve Lawler has called Mark Knight the best producer on the planet, Pete Tong has labelled him the man of the moment and the inaugural House Music Awards nominated him for best breakthrough producer. From Tom Neville's 'Buzz Junkie' to Dubfire's Buzz Chart No.1 'Roadkill', Toolroom Records has firmly established itself within the market.
Toolroom Records prides itself in keeping one step ahead in the Market with ever changing trends and the need for new and exciting music. We were one of the first labels to recognise the desire to download the latest dance tracks and offer our latest tracks and releases as download mp3, as well as vinyl or CD format.
