Hi, Im Daniel. Im a 26 years old from Oslo, Norway. I am a musician, guitarplayer. I study Music at the University of Oslo. I have two years on a private institute for stage and studio and a year at Toneheim folk-highschool (direct translation) My musical career started as a baryton player in my school orchestra (I never actually played with the band, I only took lessions), but my career took a new direction when I started to stumble over my fathers guitars at home. He had been playing rythmguitar for nearly 30 years in various settings with gigs every saturday for over ten(!) years. And my mother had a musical education as a classical guitarplayer. So I started in my room when I was about 8, got my first real 6 string at the age of 13, joined my first two bands at the age of 17 and also began to attend some jamsessions in Oslo. The first music I started out on was The Shadows, and tried my best to get that Hank Marvin sound from my fathers little, old amp and strat-copy. Today I play both guitar, bass, vocals, a little bit mandolin, banjo and piano/organ.
For the last three years I have been playing mostly with Tuva & The Far out Orchestra, Stormy Monday and Gravel Road, but also with some norwegean artists and bands such as Harald Thune, Ivar Thomas Brynildsen, Malin Pettersen, Kentucky Riders, Spanky (w./Tommy Kristiansen and Eirik Bergene), Lucky Lips, and occacionally with Monica Nordlie, Benedicte Brænden, and Toini and The Tomcats. Other great musicians I have the fortune to play with are Lars Håvard Haugen, Knut Hem, Tore Blesterud, Sveinung Lilleheier, Bjørn "Honky" Haglund and others.
