ZYDECO MADNESS IN JEWEL CASE
Evil Emil & King Kongo Cobras is a Zydeco-band from Sweden. They live by the motto - Why play good music, when you can play fun music? Luckily enough the music do not have to suck just because it is fun to play. That is why the band’s general, mr Evil Emil decided to force his credulous friends to join the King Kongo Cobra band and start jammin. Many years have passed since the start, but still EEKKC is one of the youngest band in the genre, at least in Sweden where they actually are one of very few Zydeco band on the whole (If you are familiar with other zydeco-bands in Sweden, please leave a comment).
Hereby EEKKC challanges every other band out there to try to beat their record considering the longest gig. EEKKC once did a gig which started at 21.00 and ended at 04.00 in the morning, and the most astonishing thing about this is the fact that the audience was dancing along with all the time..eh..or at least some of them. Try to beat their seven-hour-gig record and EEKKC will praise you. Peace and love to all the people who was there at this remarkable night midsummer of 2004. Viva la Zydeco Madness!!

Sounds Like: Evil Emil & King Kongo Cobras has their own unique sound, and is hardly compareable with anythingelse. You can tell that the band sure has been influenced by a lot of different stuff, but their sound is quite original.

The band has been playing together for so long that nobody can tell for sure when the start took place. Some people say 10 years other says more or less, a good guess should be that the truth lies somewhere in between.

EEKKC does shows in bars, clubs and festivals mostly. If you get the opportunity the check them out live, I can assure you that it is an experience you will remember. Some people actually get stucked in some-kind-of crazy zydeco-trance a phenomenon which is quite amusing to watch - if you and your drink is at distant level from the person in trance.

Also Check out their Webpage at: www.evilemil.se for more sharp sounds and pics.

Cheers.
