guided blindly by their limitations, influences and a lust for noise, founder played their first show in 2001 at sydney's excelsior hotel. someone told us that same night we'd have to actually sing if we wanted to get played on the radio. turns out they were right.
the demo ep 'son of burlington' appeared a few months later and noone said a word.
many shows later and the band decided on two things: (1) never to play at the green square on a tuesday night ever again and (2) to record an album with tony dupe on the south coast of nsw. this was the beautifully shambolic 'orgen' cd rekurd (released on heavy).
after that a bunch of sweet shows happened and then some more recording happened - in the concrete changerooms at the kiama football park, i shit you not. then a 3 year break or something and now some new songs and new recordings. we'll try and get something together this year.
about these songs:
'the training song' was recorded at a rehearsal at beps sometime in 2007.
'vaster than empires (and more slow)' recorded live at the cad factory in 2007. there is also live video footage of 'vaster' somewhere on youtube (thanks leigh!)
'cat eat machine' is available on the cattle grid skip cd sampler, a heavy recordings compile featuring a bunch of bands recorded by tony dupe over recent years. see www.heavy.net.au
'dillon' was recorded in 2004 and appeared on a giveaway compilation cd at our last show (hopetoun htl, nov 07).
