Formed in 2002 by core members Al, Dave, Liz and Tim, the band played regularly in both sydney and melbourne with the likes of Gaslight Radio, Heligoland and Adam Cole. the band released the 4-track EP 'Afternoon Silverware' to acclaim and label interest.
In 2004 the band picked up a new rhythm and keyboard section in Toby, Kate and Luke. The band became infinitely more interesting after that (not that we wern't good before... [some critics have actually argued that tides were much more interesting in the early days]) - but it was pure razzle dazzle from then on - The re-honed sound was played on stages alongside bands such as The Lovetones, Laura, International Karate, Sounds like Sunset and This is your captain speaking.
A few years on: Kate is vegan, studying to be a vet and is well situated playing drums for bands; who are part of the vicarious sydney psych scene. Baldwin is keeping it real in Melbourne, he used to be keeping it real in sydney. Al (the wolf) is probably a papa wolf now, he has spent his baby bonus on high-end electronics (didn't get a ps3). Dave is living in Paris, playing guitar in Heligoland (the gland). Liz (Elizabeth) will be a lawyer soon. Muffin is dead. Luke gets paid to reduce the harm(s) associated with injecting drug use . Tim has re-united with Luke Collins (ex charisma). Joel has retired- Joel spends all day and night resting... he doesn't even move.
