About me..hummmmmmmm ok where to start. First of all I was born in the mountains of Virgina.I lived there as a young child with my grandparents.Later I moved to South Louisiana where I have lived most of my life. I have always loved music. In the last part of the seventies and then through the eighties I was working doing sound at small venue concerts for people touring through the area and ,for some of the local bands in South Louisiana.I worked at such places as Going West in Scott, Slick’s in St. Martinville, Grant Street in Lafayette (in the early years before air conditioning was added, boy was in hot in there especially when it rocked with The Thunderbirds or John Lee Hooker), The New Orleans Jazz Festival, The Tavern in Opelousas( where Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Johnson made their first appearances in Acadiana) just to name a few.There were big names and small names and they were all GREAT to work with.I feel very lucky to have met alot of the old blues greats who are no longer with us. I was also involved in putting on outdoor concerts we called Yam Jams. During the late eighties I became involved with video and worked at a local TV station until I moved to Florida. I was lucky enough at the station to be the producer of a couple of great music shows, Bayou Boogie hosted by Herman Fuselier and Swamp-n-Roll hosted by Todd â€Zydeco†Ortego and Joe â€Dr. Feelgood†Burge. I was also involved in video productions of Festival International in Lafayette and The Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival in Plasiance. I did video work for Louisiana Folk Roots.I shot and edited a dance instructional video produced by Michael Seider, called "Allons Danser - The Whiskey River Jitterbug",which recived rave reviews. Additionally, I helped with some of the very first live broadcasts KRVS did from Grant Street. During all this time I met so many awesome musicians and people, and made a lot of great friends!!!.I moved to Florida in 2004 and am attending college now. After finishing my education I hope to eventually work in making documentaries or video archives of ethnic cultures that may dissapaer in time if not preserved for future generation to observe. Oh yeah and I guess I should mention I get a little political at times..I hate injustice in any form. And in these times it seems to be running rampant. It seems to me that somewhere along the road of life people have taken a wrong turn. Compassion seems to have become lost in the underbrush along the side. The line between right and wrong used to be straight, but now it is full of twists and turns. People are admired for their financial status instead of the deeds they do. People that were once admired and respected for the way they lived their lives are now considered weak and, people who once would have been considered scandalous and immoral are now admired. We are led by lies and deceit. Everything is out of balance, but how do we fix it? Ok I will get off my soapbox for now, but more to come later. peace and dove myspace layout
