EAST END FILM FESTIVAL 2007

East End Film Festival 19th – 26th April is Open for submissions. Celebrating the creativity and diversity of east London the East End Film festival is looking for films from all sectors of the international community that reflect and enhance this unique quarter of London. This year the East End Film festival is opening its doors to the best international short and feature films and bringing them to the heart of the city.

The deadline for all submissions is 26th January 2007.

The East End Film Festival will be screening at major venues across East London including the Genesis Mile End, The Rio Dalston, Cineworld West India Quay and new cultural arts centre Rich Mix

We are looking for short and feature film submissions completed since November 2005, that fall into any of the three categories below. There are three submissions opportunities.

1. Homegrown talent: for films made in the East End* or by East End based filmmakers

2. Eastside Nationwide:for films made anywhere in the UK that have a cultural relevance to the East End

3. East International: for films made in Europe, Africa or Asia that have a cultural relevance to the East End.

Short films should be no longer than 15 minutes and submitted on DVD or Video. We accept fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, music promo, artist film and video and actively encourage the submission of work that demonstrate a crossover of any of the above!

Films must not previously have been submitted to East End Film Festival.

All short films selected for screening at the East End Film Festival will be included for nomination to the East End Kodak Audience Award.

The East End Film Festival is a partnership between London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Hackney Council and is supported by 3 Mills Studios and Film London

*In this instance the East End includes the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Enfield, Greenwich, Newham, and Waltham Forest.
