Shooting People Filmmakers Network

About Me

WHO ARE WE?
Shooting People is the biggest UK and US indie filmmaking community with over 37,000 members part of it all at www.shootingpeople.org
HOW DOES SHOOTING PEOPLE WORK?
Filmmakers sign up and trade information with each other, find collaborators to work on each others' films, hear about funding, calls for entries and competitions, debate the latest film / digital technologies and meet each other at various parties, swarms and screenings at Sundance, Edinburgh, Cannes and beyond. Shooters believe in making original creative films and believe in fighting for better distribution alternatives. So if you love independent film or work in it, come JOIN US .

STOP PRESS * STOP PRESS * STOP PRESS * STOP PRESS * STOP PRESS
If you haven't visited www.shootingpeople.org for a while, you will have missed the big new Shooters development WATCH FILMS on the site that lets you upload your films and view other members' work.
Anyone can watch the films - take a look now
www.shootingpeople.org/watch
One of our core reasons of doing such a big build (big thanks to Stu, George and Tim!) is not just to expand audiences for shooters and their work, but also, importantly, to have a place where you can check out the films of people you might want to work with - whether it's writers, animators, actors, makeup artists, cinematographers or directors etc.
To show you how lovely our new Shooting People video player is, here's a trailer for "We Are Together," a wonderful documentary about a group of AIDS orphans in South Africa who form a choir. "We Are Together" is made by Shooters Paul Taylor and Teddy Leifer. www.wearetogether.org
