A month in the planning and now I have the basic information up on My Space. I was wondering if this works for actors as well as it does for bands. I thought I would give it a go and see, I am listed on other acting sites and currently looking for a new agent but all things help in my view.I'm an actress who's main performance is through film and television although I do have quite a bit of live performance experience. I'm a member of Equity and Spotlight registered.I trained at the Coventry Centre for the Performing Arts and gained a Diploma in acting, singing, dance and movement. I received many years training for singing to which I have appeared in many singing competitions performing mainly musicals and folk.
I was a member and co-founder of an award winning medieval theatre group who have performed all over the country and abroad to much acclaim. I have extensive sword fighting skills which also includes period weaponry and archery.I'm also fortunate to look like the actress Lucy Lawless who is famed for the popular TV Series Xena Warrior Princess. This has lead me to appear as a professional lookalike all over the world and was also a finalist of a nationwide lookalike competition run by Madame Tussards and the TV Times. As well as this success I was voted the best Xena lookalike worldwide by the Official Xena Warrior Princess Magazine.
I have been the Official Maid Marion for Nottingham for several years which has lead me to make appearances all across the country including Belgium and Canada. Please view my online resume and modelling page for further info on my achievements:Acting:www.1stagefurther.com/Joanne_Marriott.ht
